For a physician or psychiatrist, go to www.massmedboard.org/consumer and click on the “Physician Profiles” link. Enter the physician’s name and click the “Find Physician” button. At the next screen, click on the person’s last name to get information about his/her license status and training

 

For all other licenses, go to www.mass.gov/dpl/boards.

            For Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors, click on the Allied Mental Health Professionals link. Next, click the red bar on the left with the label “Check a License”. The following page offers you several options for searching, including name, license number, and town.

            For other professionals, click on the corresponding board: nurses, psychology or social workers, and you will be taken to the same search screen as for allied mental health professionals.
